Pewter Cufflinks – PC247b – Highland Cow head (matt)

Pewter is an ancient and traditional metal, used in scotland for centuries.

It was discovered by the Romans about 200AD and was known as the “Metal of the Kings” because it could only be afforded by royalty.

The pieces encompass a range of Celtic knotwork and Interlace Patterns which symbolise “Eternity”

These intricate patterns reached their peak in the 11th century and illuminated manuscripts of the Lindisfarne Gospels and the Book of Kells

Our range of pewter items are all handmade in Scotland
